Just back from a week or so of re-charging the tanks. I quite enjoy observing a sunrise here and there… however, you need to be patient with winter in Victoria.
This place is Gadubanud country. In 1854 the town was known as Middleton. 20 years later, the Governor-in-Council gazetted the area ‘Krambruk’, an Aboriginal term for ‘sandy place’.
Here’s a good overview HERE of the what happened to the first local people, unfortunately it reads like most historical accounts of South Eastern Australia. Whilst the original inhabitants are no longer abundantly present, there’s a beauty of spirit in this place that those who have gone before would’ve felt.
